LPHA Mailing List

Mail Server

You can now join a LPHA mailing list.  There are several mailing lists established at present.  The main mailing list is entitled "Listserv".  It will be a general mailing list of LPHA information and updates.  To subscribe, you may click on Listserv which will bring up a mail message pre-addressed to the mailing list.  All you need to do is type "subscribe listserv" (leave off the quotation marks) in the body of the message.  Do not enter text in the subject line and do not use a signature block in the body of the message.  You should receive a confirming e-mail from the mailing list to notify you of a successful subscription.  The message will also inform you how to unsubscribe.  

If for some reason you wish to have the mailings go to a different address (a friend's address, a specific other system on which you have an account, or an address which is more correct that the one that automatically appears in the "From:" header on the mail you send), you would add that address to the subscribe command.  For instance, if you're sending a request from your work account, but wish to receive Listserv mail at your personal account (for which we will use "jqpublic@my-isp.com" as an example), you'd put the line

subscribe Listserv jqpublic@my-isp.com

in the mail message body.

The remaining mailing lists are for each LPHA Section and are entitled as follows:
admin-physicians for the Administrators and Physicians Section,
clerical-statistical for the Clerical and Statistical Section,
env-health for the Environmental Health Section,
lab for the Laboratory Section,
nursing for the Public Health Nursing Section and,
other-health for the Allied Health Services Section.
Simply follow the directions listed above to subscribe but substitute the section list name instead of listserv.
